Starr Kennels is one of Northern Californias premire pet care facilities. We are proud members of the Pet Care Services Association (PCSA). Our facility is comprised of 4 beautifuly maintined acres. You and your pet will find our upgraded amenities very inviting.
Here are some of the amenities you will find at our pet care facility:
Sandi who is originally from Wyoming started showing and training dogs when she was 14. When she moved to California in 1986 she started working at a kennel in Petaluma where she learned the art of dog grooming. Since then she has worked at other kennels in Sonoma County and has completed the PCSA Certified Pet Care Technician Program. She opened her own grooming shop in 1994 in the town of Windsor with the help of her husband and family. It has alway been a life long dream of Sandi's to own her own kennel. She was lucky enough to marry a great man (Jim) who also shared her love of animals.
Jim who is from California and has lived in Windsor since 1972 has always had a unique bond with animals. He had several dogs and cats during his youth even a couple of chickens who would ride with him on his paper route. Jim has been very involved in the pet care industry along side Sandi since 1994 when he started helping her with dog grooming.
Sandi and Jim opened Starr Kennels in June of 2004 (previously Tukahoe Kennels). They have spent many hours modernizing and improving the existing kennel and continue to make improvements to this day.
They strive to make this a happy and fun pet care facility for all of their furry friends.

For liability reasons, Starr Kennels is unable to accept any of the following fighting breeds:
You are always welcome to come and view our facility anytime (except 4 days prior to or after a major holiday) during normal business hours. Please leave your canine friend(s) at home or in the car.

- Mon-Fri: 9:00am - 5:30pm
- Saturday: 9:00am - 1:00pm
- Sunday: 3:30pm - 5:00pm
- We are closed major Hollidays
Check – Out
Check out time is 11:00am.
After this time, you will be charged for your departure day.
Cancellations:
- Cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to your reserved arrival date. If we do not receive 72 hours notice you will be charged for the dates that you had reserved unless the run is filled
- Major Holidays require a non-refundable deposit and 7 days cancellation notice
- If you shorten your reservation, please be advised that we require 48 hours notice or you will be charged for the run until it is filled.

- American Staffordshire Terrier
- Pit Bull Terrier
- Staffordshire Bull Terrier
You are always welcome to come and view our facility anytime (except 4 days prior to or after a major holiday) during normal business hours. Please leave your canine friend(s) at home or in the car.
