Cat Accommodations
Starr Kennels offers deluxe suites for your feline friend. Our suites are 3' x 3' &
6' tall with multiple levels for your feline friend to climb, play, or take a nap on. Our suites are large enough to accomidate
multiple cat households. There is plenty of room for your cats to keep each other company, play, or even to stretch out, and
relax in their own space.
Bedding:
Starr Kennels will provide a soft warm rug for your cat to rest on. You are more than welcome to bring a bedding article or even a piece of clothing with your smell on it. Feel free to bring cat toys. Please make sure that any items brought will not be missed if damaged or lost.
Food:
Starr Kennels will provide a nutritionally balanced, lamb and rice kibble for your cat along with various canned food options. Please feel free to bring your cats usual food, there is no additional charge if you choose this option. We do request that you provide dry food in a container with a tightly fitting lid.
Starr Kennels would like to recommend that you limit the amount of food you give your cat on the day it comes to stay with us, since some cats stress easily. Likewise, you should limit the amount of food and water you give your cat for the first hour or two after your cat arrives home. This will allow your cat plenty of time to settle down before feeding.
Vaccinations:
Your cats health is of the utmost importance to us at Starr Kennels, that is why we require all cats be current on the following vaccinations:
Ala Carte Activities:
Play Time: A 15 minute one-on-one session with an activities counselor including chaseing a cat teaser, chase the mouse, and a laser light chase.
TLC: A 15 minute one-on-one session with an activities counselor in our rocking chair. There will be lots of purring, and scratching
Nature Walk: For those cats that enjoy the outdoors we offer a 15 minute stroll on our 4 acres in a "Kitty SUV" where they will see birds, lizzards, rabbits and soak up some sun and fresh country air.
Ala Carte Treats:
Tuna-on-a-Ritz: Fun little snack for your kitty. Fresh tuna on a cracker. A favorite among all even the descriminating feline.
Catnip Tea: This is a great accompanyment to our Play Time encounter. Fresh brewed Catnip will be served to your cat. (Of course we will monitor the amount)

I have more than one cat can they stay together?
Yes! Our suites are large enough to accomodate multiple cat families.
Do you board kittens?
As long as your kitten has completed its vaccination requirements for FVCRP and Rabies. Please consult your veterinarian on age requirements for these vaccines.
Will my cat have to stay in his suite all the time?
No. You may add one of our Ala Carte Activites to your cat's stay, like Playtime, or TLC, or our Nature Walk for the outdoorsy cat. Please ask our staff about these options for your cat.
What about food for my cat?
Starr Kennels will provide your cat with a nutritionaly balanced lamb and rice kibble and a variety of can food options. However, you are more than welcome to bring your cats usual food with him. It is usually easier on your cat's stomach to stay on the diet that he is used to eating. Please make sure if you do bring your cats food that it is provided in a container with a sealed lid. (No open bags of cat food) Please do not bring your cats bowls or dishes. (We will provide these as they are sanatized daily)
What do I need to do before my cat comes to stay?
You should provide us with vaccination records for FVCRP and Rabies (you can fax these) before arrival. You can make any grooming or Ala Carte Activitie arrangements prior to arrival.
